Hi! I’m Katie Yount and I’m a local State Farm Agent here in Fair Oaks. I believe that having exceptional customer service and caring for my customers is the key to having a successful business. I am a proud member of Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce and Fair Oaks Rotary. I love being involved in the community. I'm so honored to be named citizen of the year for 2022 through the Fair Oaks Chamber.

I am so passionate about giving back to my community. I support a different nonprofit each month and put on various community events throughout the year. I give back and get involved every chance I get.

I’m so excited to be raising money for “community projects” through the Fair Oaks Rotary foundation. The money I raise for Rotary will go right here to help the Fair Oaks/Orangevale community! My fundraising goal is to raise money for Rotary’s Community Grant program. Smaller non-profits and schools can apply for these grants. A few of the non profits that I have volunteered with that plan on taking advantage of these grants are:

Sweet Dreams Foundation: they create dream bedrooms for kids that are terminally ill

Helping Hands OV: they help elderly and disabled people that need help with tasks around the house

Adopt an Elder: provide financial assistance to low income, high risk seniors that affords them safe housing and proper nutrition

I thank you in advance for your donation! Every dollar counts as 1 vote.

Giving back, building communities and spreading kindness

a little History
Established in 1979 by the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce, this initiative was born out of the unique status of Fair Oaks as part of the Unincorporated area of Sacramento County, where a Mayor is not in place. The chamber envisioned this campaign as the next best solution, aiming to promote Fair Oaks businesses while generating funds for both the chamber and the community. The Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce Honorary Mayor Campaign is a non-political event, where the winner is determined by the candidate who raises the most money over a four-month period. Each dollar raised counts as one vote.

The proceeds collected from each candidate will be split 50/50 between the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce and a charity of the candidate’s choosing, subject to approval by the FOCC Board of Directors. The winner will be unveiled in October 2025. Throughout its 46-year history, this event has garnered a total of $562,306.95, with half of that amount reinvested back into the Fair Oaks community.
