Jim Cralle has been a resident of Fair Oaks for over 35 years. He grew up in Eureka, California, graduated from Humboldt State, and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He started his Insurance business, Capitol Association Plans, over 38 years ago. He successfully ran two businesses at the same time-- his Insurance business and partnering with his wife, Diana, in their Tupperware business, Dinamite Party Sales for over 28 years.
Jim has always enjoyed giving back to the community and was never afraid of getting involved. When he first moved to Sacramento, he coached Pop Warner Football. He is the past president of the Sacramento Estate Planning Counsel, and the past Charter President of the Greater Sacramento Employee Benefit Council. He is presently a mentor for SCORE (a volunteer arm of SBA), a member of the Fair Oaks American Legion, Ben Ali Shrine, Past President of the Rotary Club of Fair Oaks and presently International Chair, and serves on the Board of the Fair Oaks Chamber.
Jim and his wife, Diana have been married for 52 years, they have 2 daughters, Heather and Amber who went to school locally, and 5 grandchildren. His passion is fly fishing and you’ll find him on the river whenever possible. His motto is: “Hooked on Fair Oaks”.
Jim ran for Honorary Mayor in 2018 and raised a total of $23,254.04 a 50/50 split between the FOCC and Fair Oaks Rotary Foundation he presented a check for $11,627.02 to the Fair Oaks Rotary Foundation specifically “The Community Grants Program” to receive the charitable funds raised by his campaign because of what Rotary stands for: “Service Above Self”.
Jim is very involved in our community through the rotary and the chamber, he is currently a director on the chamber board and is our current programs director.
