The weekend of April 30 and May 1, 2011 is the 62nd Annual Fair Oaks Spring Fest (formerly Fiesta Days). It will be at 10224 Fair Oaks Blvd (off Sunrise and Winding Way). This year’s theme is “Go GREEN for Spring”. You don’t want to miss it! Link to the schedule of events is below.
As always, this two full day family event draws more than 10,000 people from all over Northern California. Families come to enjoy the wonderful events and food.
A shuttle service is available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. The service goes between Scandinavian Designs on Winding and Sunrise and Fair Oaks Village, and there’s plenty of parking at Scandinavian Designs.
Events begin on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with opening ceremonies and the Parade through Fair Oaks Village. Events going on all day include games and craft booths, food, and exhibits. Returning this year is the Children’s Carnival with the admission one low price for the entire day! Saturday events include the famous Toilet Bowl Race. Events on Sunday include the annual Sun Run. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. as the races start at 8:05 a.m. and the Car Show which runs from 9:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m.

The event will be held Friday, August 20 and feature a four person scramble, a shotgun start at 8 a.m. and will be held at Mather Golf Course. We will be concluding around 12:30 p.m. for a lunch served at the course. Pre-registration is required (CLOSED).
Additional highlights include a large raffle and the “Ships and Trips Travel” Hole-In-One contest for $5000! Entry fee includes green fees, cart, lunch, tee prizes, and loads of fun!

Mac Huss Memorial Scholarship
Mac Huss was a loving husband, father, community leader, and builder of spirit. In 1966 he moved with his family to Fair Oaks. He then became president of the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce in 1979, and in 1983 was elected president of Fair Oaks Rotary.
Each year a scholarship is given to a local high school golfer headed for college in memory of Mac’s passion for life, adventure and golf, and in keeping his spirit of community involvement alive in Fair Oaks.
