2010 Fair Oaks Dog Walk
Filed under: Fair Oaks Dog Walk.
The annual Fair Oaks Dog Walk is held the first Saturday in October. Our eighth annual walk will be held this year on Saturday, October 2nd. The event features a beautiful two mile walk along the beautiful scenic American River, which begins at Fair Oaks Village Park (at the corner of Main & Temescal), continues over the bridge and along the horse trail near the American River, then back to the Village Park. Registration at 8:30 am and the Walk beings at 9:00 am.
Scheduled events include a live band and dog contests, including the ever popular “doggie sit” which is the canine version of musical chairs. We will be offering free treats and water for people and their best friends.
Visit the many sponsor tables to get information about local services available for pet owners. We finish this morning event with a raffle including donated prizes from our vendors and other local businesses.
